I am getting ready for NOLA. I changed front brake pads at 8400 miles. Rear brake pads were fine.

We just got back from NOLA and Barber. It was crazy when we left. We had 15 inches of snow overnight and after cleaning the driveway we were able to get out to the storage area and pickup the trailer at about 1 pm.

We got back from VIR which was a waste of a trip. It was crazy the first morning as it was 27 degrees and by 12 noon we were up to 49. At one point we were borrowing snow shovels form each other to clean around the cars and trailers. My car was in the trailer and I had to clear a path so I could take the car out. At 1 pm they opened the track for parade laps. We all got on the track with SUVs and drove for over 30 min. The track was drivable by then, but ridiculous. There were streams of water in the paddock area and around turn 3, 6, 8, before 14 and after 17. I was shocked that they kept the event going. By 4 pm it was 67. I managed to get one run in at 2 pm and by my second run I noticed my tires were done. Every time I would go over the water stream the backend would wiggle. I pulled into my spot, got out of the car, sat on the trailer, and took my shoes and socks off and started to squeeze the water out. I was planning to change the tires then, but by then I was totally fed-up. This morning I went to the car and started to change the tires. I was barely putting pressure on one of the wheel studs since I was going to use the torque and it snapped …Well, that was the end of VIR.

I changed the oil and filter today at 8,660 miles. I also bled the brake fluid. Tested the old fluid and it had no moisture.
