April 7, 2013 - Untimely horn award!
This last Sunday I was at NJMP Thunderbolt Raceway. During one of my afternoon runs (in the zone driving), I came close to a silver Porsche near turn five. After passing turn five he gave me a clear point-by and I passed him; as I was making my inside turn on sixth I saw the flagman. As soon as the flagman and I made eye contact, the palm of my hand hit the horn and resulted with a “beep.” I could not believe it—and in that second, I knew this was going to cause an issue. Next thing I know, I was awarded a black flag. I pitted out and had a chat with the pit master—luckily, I didn’t get into any serious trouble. The flag man did not see the point-by and the pit master thought I passed without it. After the run was over, the driver of the Porsche came over to see me and we had a good laugh about the incident.
I guess I better disconnect the horn or add a switch off.

While getting ready Barber MSP event on April 20 and 21 I decided to signed up with http://www.tracktime4cars.com to attend the June 16th event at NJMP , Thunderbolt. Paul and Kelvin should be there too so it will be fun. I have to get on VIR with Chin Motorsport for July.

There was a gathering today - Spring GYLO (Get Your Lotus Out). It was great seeing everyone.

We arrived in Alabama on the 19th and took went to Barber Vintage Museum. The place was amazing. The next day we arrived at the track and this place was like a county club and the road course was fantastic.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to Watkins Glen as Lotus has not delivered some parts that I ordered 2 weeks ago. Oh well, I have to book this one again.

I had to miss the June 16th event at NJMP. Some parts for the car did not show up on time. We moved into a new house and it has been crazy getting things unpacked. Getting ready for VIR next week.
July 5, 2013
We got back from VIR last night. The first day was like the monsoon season. It rain so heavy with thunder and lightning that they had to shut down the track. At one point we had flash flooding in the middle of the track. The Oak tree is gone too. It fell the day before and there is no more Oak tree turn. As someone called it it is now the Oak-less tree turn. the second day was much better and we did get some nice dry track time.
I was able to reschedule the Watkins Glen International event. I signed up for a two day event with http://www.chinmotorsports.com Monday, September 2, 2013 - Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
